Step 6: The Trifect-A Conversation
In this exercise, we're going to talk about how to have effective conversations with your prospects. You hopefully found through the past two exercises at least one prospect who is ready to help you make more sales. That’s great. But you may be wondering, “Ok. What now? What exactly should I say?”
As you might have guessed, we have a framework...
Introducing The Trifect-A Conversation
The Trifect-A is a useful communication formula for those people in your network audit who fall under the category of Connector or Former Customer. This formula is incredibly helpful for moving conversations with those people forward. It helps you start a conversation with the ultimate goal of uncovering their thoughts, sharing your dreams, and showing you a path to a sale you may not have considered.
The Trifect-A conversation includes these three elements:
Acknowledge the person
Articulate your vision
Ask their thought
Practically speaking, that may sound something like this:
[Name], I’m really impressed by what you have been able to accomplish in your business. It feels so purpose-driven and relevant.
I have a goal this year to work with more purpose-driven female founders like you, especially those that are up to interesting things.
If you were me, what would you do?
This conversation is incredibly effective at signaling that you are open to and want more business. And in our experience, it almost always yields a valuable follow-up action, offer to help, introduction, or uncovers an obstacle that you may not have even realized was there.
Your next task is to identify one of your qualified prospects from yesterday's task and have a conversation with them. This means you should encourage them to share their aspirations and goals, and then show them how your product or service can help them achieve those goals. Download today’s worksheet to help you structure this conversation (or email). Then have at it!

Once you've had your conversation, share in the group and let us know how it went.
Good luck! You’ve got this.
