I started the Building Prequal newsletter because I wanted a space to build a business out loud. My goal was to share my trials, tribulations, and lessons as they happened so you could watch a business being built.

Given that we're more than halfway through the year, we've tested a few. And because this newsletter is all about Building Prequal, I thought it fitting to summarize the ways we've tested building our audience this year.

There are so many lessons that go along with being an entrepreneur and building a business. One of the early lessons I'm learning is that it's challenging to scale, and scale strategically.

I have come to love July. It's my favorite month of the year, not because of the vacations and certainly not because the kids are out of school. I love it because it's the best business planning season.

This volume of the Prequal newsletter is going up later than I would have liked. But I have a good reason. Something amazing happened last night.

As I embark on narrating the evolution of Prequal in real-time, it's crucial to establish the groundwork for how I arrived here. So, let's start at the beginning—why did I venture into establishing a consulting firm?

Prequal is in the business of helping female founders, freelancers, and service professionals make more money. We do that through sales training and coaching.
